Local, Non-Local and Zonal Competition
Recruitment to zonal posts in Andhra Pradesh reserves the major share of vacancies for local candidates of the concerned zone, while the remaining share is open to both local and non-local candidates. Because a non-local candidate competes for a much smaller number of posts, two candidates with identical marks in the same zone can have very different real chances — which is why the predictor reports local status as its own rank card rather than folding it into the zone rank.
Category and Women’s Reservation
Andhra Pradesh follows a category structure of OC, EWS, BC-A to BC-E, SC (with sub-classification), ST and PWD.
